Kick-Off to Domestic Violence Awareness Month 

Please join us as we Kick-Off Domestic Violence Awareness Month on October 1st at 5 pm at the Lima Public Library with Mayor Berger reading the proclamation, a book dedication, and a walk to honor those victims who have lost their lives due to domestic violence.

Tree Planting

The tree is planted in memory of the victims who have lost their lives due to domestic violence-to honor the victims who are survivors of domestic violence-and to give support to everyone working to end domestic violence in our community

Candlelight Vigil

October 18th at 7 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima

Every year Crossroads holds a candlelight vigil in remembrance of those who have lost their lives due to domestic violence in Allen & Hardin Co. This year marks our 24th annual candlelight vigil.

St. Rita’s Awareness Days 

October 25th-26th  from 10a-2p

Please join us in wearing purple for Purple Thursday. Crossroad will have advocates at St. Rita’s both days to answer any questions someone may have.

 

Make A Difference Day

October 27th, 2018 from 9a-3p-Chiefs in Northland, Shawnee, Eastgate and Delphos

Make A Difference Day is National Day of Doing Good. Crossroads staff along with Board members and volunteers will be set up at area Chief’s in Lima and Delphos collecting items on our Wishlist. Items on our Wishlist help support survivors and the shelter.  Awareness displays along with information to educate and advocates to answer any questions.

 

During October there will be Domestic Violence awareness and displays to honor victims and survivors throughout Allen County. Library displays, trees decorated in purple, Traveling Tracy silhouette at various locations. T-shirts will be displayed at the YMCA, purple sweets and treats at various bakeries and shops.
